#1 - The idea for arranging my class came from one of my favorites classrooms during high school, music theory. When our teacher arranged the desk this way, we would feel more connected to our classmates and her as our teacher. It would be easy to do small group activities by having the students simply turn their desks around to face the back row.

#2 - This area would be my "technology station". Ideally I would have a smartboard and a t.v. to use for my lessons, but if not then I would keep loaned technology up in the front for the students to see. At the very least, I hope to have a dry erase board.
#3 - This area is my little work station. My storage would ideally be near my desk for easy access and I would have a fridge to store my lunches/drinks in. I couldn't convey this on the map, but I would like to have my desk more angled to better see the entire class.
#4 - This is the student's technology station where they would have easy access to computers for research purposes. Ideally I would have more than 2 computers, and if so then I would probably put them back to back as my current cooperating teacher has them now.
#5 - The kidney table in the back of the room is somewhat of a luxury. I'm not sure if one would actually fit back there or if I would have access to one but it would be beneficial for small group work and discussions lead by me. I feel that this may be an welcoming place to have students whom are struggling to work at this table with either a student or me who can help them.
#6 - I LOVE organization. I like keeping my classroom organized and my materials available to use at any time. I would love to have a shelf dedicated to young adult literature. Possibly separate them by themes?
#7 - The classrooms that I remember always had a "reading section". It is especially difficult to want to read at a desk on a cold, hard chair. It's more welcoming to have students come into a room that has a space specifically for them to realize and catch-up on some reading. I also knew students when I was younger who would take advantage of this space during lunchtime to catch up on some sleep, if they were not getting enough at home.
